Heidi Lorenz is a Brooklyn-based electronic musician, sound artist, performer, designer and audio engineer.

As a musician/sound artist, she performs under the names Octonomy and Male Aggression, and has made multi-disciplinary pieces under her own name, including, but not limited to audiovisual and acoustical artworks.

Professionally, she has worked in live sound engineering, a/v technical direction and stage production in venues, nightclubs and gallery spaces for over a decade; her live sound skill set has been learned predominately through self-teaching and hands-on workplace experience, which she adamantly believes in.

She has formal training as an architectural designer, during which she undertook focused projects on architectural acoustics and reverberant spaces as part of an ongoing research thesis.
